Sara Low, 28, Batesville, Ark., was a flight attendant for American Airlines. She was not originally scheduled to work the flight. The University of Arkansas graduate is survived by her mother, Bobbie.

She'd just taken an apartment on Beacon Hill in Boston. She loved to ski. She was a fine athlete - a cross-country runner. And she loved to fly.

Sara Low, 28, formerly of Batesville, Ark., was an American Airlines flight attendant who died when Flight 11 en route to Los Angeles was hijacked and crashed into the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001.

Low, a graduate of Batesville High School and the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, had moved to Boston three years ago, said John Belew, a close family friend.

She leaves behind her parents, Mike and Bobbie Low and a sister, Alyson. Mike Low, president of the Midwest Lime Co. of Batesville is himself a pilot.
